If you're one of those people always looking for something new to try on the barbecue, grill up a batch of Brussels sprouts.
Adapted from a recipe courtesy of Rob Rainford, Licence to Grill (Food Network Canada)

2 lbs Brussels sprouts halved
2 tbsp oil (30ml)
2 cups port (500ml)
Bamboo skewers
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Soak bamboo skewers in water for one hour.
2. Place Brussels sprouts in a bowl.
3. Pour port over Brussels sprouts and cover with plastic wrap. Place in refrigerator and marinate for 30 minutes.
4. Preheat barbecue to 375°F/190°C or high heat.
5. Thread the Brussels sprouts onto the skewers.
6. Place skewers on grill and cook for 2 minutes per side or until Brussels sprouts are soft.
